Emigrated to Cape Town in 1975.
Six years with Marks & Spencer Ltd followed by eight years senior management in fashion retailing before founding Filati Knits (Pty) Ltd. This company specialized in fashion knitwear for the national fashion retailers and after 5 years it was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).
In 1989, Bruce returned to the UK as CEO of a William Baird PLC manufacturing and retailing subsidiary – a nine-year contract before returning to Cape Town as a corporate coach. Initially represented Foundation, a leading UK leadership and team building organization, targeting South Africa’s major corporations before starting Cape Premier Properties, an Atlantic Seaboard based estate agency, and later Cape Home Search.
He has owned homes in the UK and Cape Town for over thirty years.
